Ok, maybe it wasn’t just these two cheerful JV volleyball players who caused the varsity Lady Blazers to trounce the Blue Devils in Thursday’s away match in Jellico, TN. However, the encouraging cheering and camaraderie exhibited by this Trail Blazer volleyball team warms a parent’s and athletic director’s heart.

Despite loud drum beats and extracurricular distractions on the opposing team’s side of the stadium, the Trail Blazers remained undaunted in their quest for a victory. After winning the first set quite handily, the girls required the reprimands of their head coach and the cheers of their supporters to come out of a mid-game funk and win the second game. Once again, Blazer fans were treated to excellent serving, sweet sets, power hits, timely blocking and decent passing.
